The Fifth-Largest Economy Just Made Energy History

The Fifth-Largest Economy Just Made Energy History

by | published May 9th, 2018

California – now the fifth largest economy in the world – made renewable energy history today.

The California Energy Commission just passed a vote to put a new solar standard that would require solar power installations on all new homes built after 2020 in effect.

Following the vote, the “Sunshine State” now becomes the first U.S. state – and possibly the first government in the world – to legally mandate its residents go green.

“California is about to take a quantum leap in energy standards,” Bob Raymer, technical director for the California Building Industry Association said. “No other state in the nation mandates solar, and we are about to take that leap.”

Now, California already has a reputation for pushing the boundaries when it comes to renewable energy. In fact, the state’s renewable portfolio standard currently requires power companies to have 50% of their total energy sources from renewable energy by 2030.

Currently, about a fifth of new houses in California come with solar panels, almost 16% of the state’s electricity comes from solar, and the industry employs more than 86,000 workers statewide.

In fact, the state itself generates so much renewable power that it frequently has to halt production and give away stored power to neighboring states to avoid overloading the electric grid.

This new mandate will utterly transform California’s energy market – unleashing a massive amount of new wealth ripe for the picking in the solar sector in the process.

And as you are about to see, I’ve found the perfect way for us to profit from it.

Solar’s Global Domination

The potential of solar was obvious from the start.

Thomas Edison, a genius in his own right, was so convinced by the limitless source of fuel from the sun that he said: “I’d put my money on that. What a source of power! I hope we don’t have to run out of oil and coal before we tackle this.”

The U.S. Department of Energy states that 173,000 terawatts of solar energy strikes the Earth every second.

That’s 10,000 times the world’s total energy consumption.

So it’s no wonder that solar has been growing leaps and bounds over the past decade.

Think about it: In 2017, solar power was the fastest-growing source of new energy in the world.

And in the coming years, the International Energy Agency (IEA) believes renewables like solar will account for 40% of all the world’s power generation.

Jon Wellinghoff, one of the world’s top energy experts and Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), says the use of this fuel is…”growing so fast it’s going to overtake everything… It could double every two years.”

In fact, as we speak, the southwestern U.S. has harvested enough of this fuel to give the United States 100% energy independenceforever.

Solar energy has proven to be so cheap – and so easily accessible – that Fortune 500 companies are rushing to set up their own “power companies.”

Google (GOOG), for example, has spent millions transitioning to 100% renewable energy …Apple Inc. (AAPL) has invested nearly $1 billion.

Everywhere you look, America’s biggest companies are going all in…

  • Facebook Inc. (FB) just spent $45 million on solar as part of its global campaign to transition to 100% renewable energy.
  • Inc. (AMZN) is working on installing solar panels at its warehouses and distribution centers around the world.
  • In February, AT&T Inc. (T) signed an agreement to purchase 520 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy, one of the largest corporate purchases to date.
  • General Motors Co. (GM) recently unveiled a 900-kilowatt solar array at its Michigan headquarters.
  • Costco Wholesale Co. (COST) recently spent over $5 million constructing a solar project in Hawaii.
  • Target Corp. (TGT) is now the top corporate solar-user in the U.S.
  • And on May 7, FedEx Corp. (FDX) revealed plans to build a solar canopy at its Memphis hub.

And that’s just a quick snapshot of the Fortune 500 companies that are pouring money into solar initiatives recently.

And you can bet that this massive shift in investment is going to completely reshape the world energy structure in the coming months and years.

It’s also going to create unprecedented wealth

Right now, this fuel is just a tiny niche sector, worth about $60 billion. It accounts for less than 1% of the global energy market. ┬áIt’s less than one-fifth the size of Exxon.

But that’s all about to change…

The Best Solar “Call” I’ve Ever Made

I have spent years tracking dozens of promising renewable energy companies – solar especially.

But I’ve uncovered one company at the heart of the solar revolution that is unlike anything I’ve seen before.

The way their technology works is amazing.

It turns grains of sand, right off the beach, into highly efficient, wafer-thin solar cells that deliver dirt-cheap energy.

Meaning they have single-handedly transformed the way solar is harvested.

At the same time, they have over 200 patents – and another 102 pending – protecting their market share.

To say this company is in the driver’s seat would be an understatement of epic proportions.

In fact, demand for their patented technology is so off-the-charts extraordinary, they’ve set up offices around the world to handle the overflow.

I’m talking about China… India… Brazil… Mexico… Japan… the United Kingdom… Germany… and even Saudi Arabia.

This company is growing so quickly – thanks in part to their amazing technology…which is why I believe they’re on the verge of becoming a household name.

A global powerhouse with 80,000% in potential revenue growth. And that’s being conservative…

Fact is, if you could only own one solar company for the next 10 years, this would be the one.

There’s no doubt in my mind…

And while there are no guarantees, this “premier” solar company could be the biggest win we’ve ever seen.

With an opportunity like this – pure ground floor – it doesn’t matter how much you put in… what matters is that you learn how to get in early.

And if you click here, I can show you exactly that.
